Recently I've had the pleasure of working with the amazing corset maker Silvia Holmes, AKA. Misty Couture, and her products are an absolute dream! With a fantastic eye for patterns, shapes and styling, as well as the enviable talent of knowing exactly what she wants, Silvia's corsets, underbusts and waspies are absolutely breathtaking. With this in mind, I was giddy with excitement when she generously lent me some for a few photoshoots that I had coming up!
This particular photoshoot was with the fantastic Rob Anderman, whose London house was perfectly decorated to shoot in, and which had a gorgeous garden which I feel added a 'secret garden' like feel to the shoot. We got the brilliant Charlene Hudson involved who worked her magic with my hair and makeup, and between the three of us- with the help of a lunchtime break with Rob's delicious home-made burgers- we got through some gorgeous 'Boudoir' style ideas.
These different looks were mainly based on the different areas of the house that we were shooting in, but one that I found most enjoyable was when we ventured out to a local park to shoot the 'Trench Coat' look. Making our way past the kid's play park (Trench Coat firmly closed) we eventually found an area suitable for a background and private enough for me to briefly flash my underwear to the camera. Despite the slight collection of adults that the park bench opposite us seemed to acquire, as well as the last minutes of our parking tickets looming, I feel like we managed to get some great shots in, as well as quite a few giggles!
I absolutely loved shooting with Rob and Charlene... I feel like we made an excellent team and got some great results. Can't wait to work with them again!
